Improving traffic flow at LDP - Federal Highway Interchange (Motorola Interchange)

The "motorola interchange" or "Penang bridge" intersection usually became congested during morning rush hours.

My observation is that this congestion was partly due to slow traffic flow at the interchange due to the steep approach angle at the junction (nearly 90 degrees angle), causing motorists to drive slowly (sometimes too slow) when entering the junction.

One of the solution would be to widen the junction.

My proposal would be to change the approach angle (and exit angle) of the junction to 45 degrees, making it slightly slanted. This would cause minimal changes to the bridge structure (I think). but some kind of wall and earth fill need to be done.
